SEO stands for search engine optimization. So in this guide, I am going to give you some tips on how to optimize on search engines (Google) in order to rank higher in search results.
1.Content
Google tends to favor longer posts than shorter ones because it perceives them to be more informative and having more value.
Not forgetting about the google hummingbird update, you will want to make your content not only long but also as narrowed down as possible so that with increasing content of your post you be able to be more thorough, and google will favor your post over others of the same category because of it’s value.
This is because also google wants to be good and SEO is its effort in making sure of this.
2.Indexing keywords
How you structure your keywords is another very important method in optimizing for SEO.
What are keywords?
Keywords are the potential words that would be used in searches on google.
Keyword indexing requires knowledge of the niche in the terms of your readers.
You should be able to put yourself in the shoes of your reader or that person to whom your information will be helpful and be able to ask yourself “what would I search for”, the answer is what you will use as your keywords.
Of course different people will search for different keywords with an aim of getting the same results, that is why you get to select more than one phrase for your keywords.

3.Backlinks
What are backlinks?
Backlinks are links from a page on one website to another. If you link to another website, then they have a backlink from you. For example, these words link to my blogging guide post, so it now has a backlink from this post.
Backlinks can help search engines discover your pages faster.
In short, the more backlinks you accumulate the higher your chances of being found by a search engine (rank higher).
